The Leader's Transition to Holacracy
Many consultants and organizational leaders have a great deal of experience working within conventional organizational structures. Many such leaders have a good deal of wisdom and grey hair developed within these conventional structures; some have even learned to use these structures to their fullest potential and found healthy ways of working within the conventional context.
But within Holacracy's new context, some of these healthy behaviors actually become limiting or even dysfunctional. At the same time, new patterns of behavior become useful, including ones which would have been dysfunctional or limiting in the previous context. In this new frame the experienced consultant or leader will have some unlearning to do and a significant adaptation to make. What's that journey like, and what are the main issues that surface and must be dealt with as part of the leader's transition to Holacracy?
